The Stories That Stick With Us

Comics are at the heart of what we do, but we explore storytelling in all its forms — movies, TV, video games, collectibles, nostalgia, and nerd culture. We dive into stories we love, debate adaptations, revisit old favorites, discover new ones, and talk about why certain stories stay with us.

Tom is spending time in the world of Zelda, exploring the story, characters, and why the franchise has stuck with fans for so long.

Anne is working her way through Daredevil from different writers to see which takes on the character connect with her most. Tom is making his way through Dungeon Crawler Carl, and together they’re keeping up with the new VeeFriends comics as they release every two weeks.

Right now, the focus is original comic art — along with a very specific mission to collect the signatures of every artist who worked on the first VeeFriends Jump Annual. Tom is also adding weekly to his Zelda collection.

We just finishes Lanterns and are working through movies and shows in preparation for Avengers: Doomsday, revisiting characters, storylines, and connections along the way.

Zelda

Tom grew up playing Zelda, and now he’s getting to experience the games all over again with his son. It’s a mix of nostalgia, shared memories, and discovering the same world from a new perspective — which makes the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake on November 5 even more exciting.

Intro of Versatile Viking (VeeFriends)

The first two pages of Versatile Viking stayed with Anne and Tom because they capture the uncertainty of going through a dark time without knowing what comes next. The colors and text made the moment feel incredibly real — quiet, heavy, and very human.
