So… What Is "Is It Canon?"
Is It Canon? is a podcast and creative platform built around curiosity, storytelling, collecting, and the conversations that happen when people care deeply about the things they love.
Hosted by Tom & Anne, we’re here to discover new stories, meet the people making them, explore why we collect, and occasionally argue about fictional characters far more seriously than necessary.
It started with a simple idea...
...talking about the VeeFriends comics. Over time, Is It Canon? grew into conversations about the universes, characters, and stories that mean something to us. We added Tger’s Collector Corner to explore the things we collect, Anne’s Creator Corner to talk creativity and the people behind the work, and most recently Let’s Be Honest — a space where we get a little more real and raw.
Two perspectives, one goal
Tom and Anne bring different backgrounds, countries, and levels of comic experience to the table, but share the same goal: celebrating the stories and characters that bring us joy — and getting more people excited to read comics.
Tom
Favorite character: Daredevil
Anne
Anne came to comics much more recently, but quickly fell in love with the storytelling, characters, and emotional side of the medium. She brings a newer-reader perspective to Is It Canon?
Favorite VeeFriend: Respectful Racoon
Tom has been reading and collecting comics for years, with a deep knowledge of characters, creators, conventions, and the culture around them. He brings the longtime fan perspective to Is It Canon?
Favorite character: still getting to know them all
Favorite VeeFriend: Compassionate Catfish
You don't need to know it all
We don’t think you need to know everything to have a good conversation about stories. We’re here to discover new things, meet interesting people, collect what matters to us, and talk about why any of it sticks.
